TechBBQ 2025 in Copenhagen
At TechBBQ 2025 in Copenhagen, LOCAT3D joined the wider Northern Norway innovation community to build new relationships, learn, and bring inspiration back home.
TechBBQ 2025 gathered more than 10,000 attendees at Bella Center Copenhagen, under the theme “Build to Matter.” For LOCAT3D, the event was an opportunity to step into one of Europe’s most vibrant innovation arenas – and to do so alongside the wider Northern Norway innovation community, bringing regional ambition, ideas, and collaboration into an international setting.

Represented by our CEO, Thomas Bentzen, LOCAT3D spent the days meeting founders, investors, and ecosystem builders, and exploring what it truly means to build with purpose. A recurring question across the event was simple, but powerful: Why does this matter, and who does it serve? That framing resonated with us. Building meaningful solutions is not only about technology; it is about relevance, impact, and long-term value creation.
From sessions on AI and digital infrastructure to conversations about recycled materials and new ways of building resilient ecosystems, TechBBQ showcased innovators who turn intention into action. The strongest takeaway for us was clear: progress accelerates when communities collaborate – across borders, industries, and disciplines.
Why this matters for Northern Norway and for LOCAT3D
We strongly believe that many of the next generation solutions will also be created in the North. But to bring more growth companies and initiatives from Northern Norway onto the international stage, we need to build new relationships, learn from leading ecosystems, and bring inspiration back home. Events like TechBBQ are a practical step in that direction.
For LOCAT3D, it reinforced the value of building ecosystems that matter: trust, capability, and collaboration – especially when the goal is to strengthen resilience and make advanced manufacturing easier to access through structured networks.
