The core purpose of LOCAT3D is to lower the bar for finding the right providers of industrial 3D scanning, design and printing, on demand CNC and machining services, effectively improving capacity utilization, shortening lead times for project deliveries, expanding the market for service providers, reducing environmental impacts and creating a win-win for all stakeholders. The beta version of the marketplace was launched in Q2 2024, and quickly attracted the interest of a wide array of industry stakeholders. With the pilot version of the platform already live, the official platform launch is due for Q4 2024.
The LOCAT3D platform allows you to filter service providers by a wide range of parameters, enabling you to not only find the perfect partner nearby, but also allowing you to contact them directly for details, quotes and deliveries. It is a great tool to find limited time or long-term supply partners, get tailored products and components made with short lead times and access specialized compentency. It will reduce wait times and downtime, expedite project execution and reduce the need for asset stockpiling, effectively saving time, money and carbon footprints.
Using the LOCAT3D platform, suppliers will be able to expand both their market outreach and potential client base by offering their services, products, machine parks and capacities to new and existing customers, with detailed specifications and information. It will contribute to reduced underutilization, less downtime, new partnerships and subsequently increased revenue. The services offered are not limited to physical production, but can also include specialized professional services like design, consultancy work, scanning, analysis and rentals.
